Entry 35: Road Trip Stop: Hershey, Pennsylvania — Chocolate Heaven on Earth

The next destination on our epic road trip was the Hershey Park Complex in Hershey, Pennsylvania—a quick stop with big sweet energy.

We originally planned a simple mission: grab a few goodies for the kids and move on. But as soon as we arrived, we were told The Chicks were performing there that evening, so the place was buzzing with energy, and time was tight. We needed to get in and out of the store quickly.

Walking inside the Hershey Store, though, time seemed to slow. I instantly reverted to a wide-eyed kid. I wouldn't normally describe myself as having a sweet tooth, but something about this place made me seriously question that. Giant 1-pound chocolate kisses? Check. Two-pound peanut butter cups? Check. Rare and exclusive Hershey’s bars you’ve never seen before? Absolutely.

The photos I snapped don’t fully capture how overwhelming (in the best way) the selection really was. It’s like stepping into a candy fantasy world. If you’re even remotely into chocolate, this place is a must-see. I left with some 1-pound peanut butter cups and a few specialty chocolate bars—they made it home but definitely didn’t last long.
