Entry 18: A Cozy Local Favorite: Midtown Coffee in the Arkansas River Valley

Enjoying a quiet moment in a local coffee shop is one of life’s simplest pleasures. There’s something peaceful about the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the hum of conversation, and the calm that comes with sipping something warm while watching the world go by. For me, Midtown Coffee offers that exact vibe.

Great Drinks, Great People

With four locations across the Arkansas River Valley—two in Russellville, and one each in Atkins and Dardanelle—Midtown has become a reliable go-to for me and my family. I’ve sampled several drinks now, and I keep coming back to two favorites:

  • Dirty Chai – smooth, warm, and perfectly spiced

  • Pablo Honey with heavy cream – rich, sweet, and seriously good

My kids have loved every drink or treat they’ve tried (no surprise there), and the service is always exceptional. The staff are kind, welcoming, and they really make the shop feel like a community spot—not just a coffee stop.

A Perfect Pairing with the Outdoors

If you’re exploring the River Valley’s many parks, trails, rivers, and scenic overlooks, Midtown makes the perfect complement to your adventure. Grab a coffee on your way to the trailhead, or unwind afterward with something cold and caffeinated.

I usually take my morning cup and either jot down a few lines of poetry or dive into a book. It’s one of the best ways to slow down and reconnect with the moment.

If you’re in the area, I absolutely recommend stopping by. And if you’re like me and seek out local coffee shops when you travel—feel free to share your favorites (and your go-to drink)!
